Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan recently announced that the launch of his flagship Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) was facing delays because the government still awaited the Lahore High Court (LHC)\u2019s decision to provide clearance for its proposed foreclosure law<\/a>, according to news sources.<\/p>\n

The PM made these comments while addressing the crowd at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Air University campus. He acknowledged that 2019 had been a difficult year for the nation, as measures to stabilise the economy had led to a rise in inflation. He opined that things would improve soon, as the stock market was already showing some positive signs, while the country\u2019s foreign reserves were also on the rise and the economy was relatively stable.<\/p>\n

PM Khan declared that the new year would mark the beginning of a \u2018year of development\u2019. He said that Pakistan was endowed with riches like precious minerals and fertile land that had the potential to offer food security to the Middle East region. For this purpose, however, he stressed that the agriculture sector would have to be further developed.<\/p>\n
