Islamabad: Business magazine Forbes has listed Pakistan as one of the top 10 \u2018under-the-radar\u2019 tourist destinations in the world, according to news sources. In a recent article carried in the publication, the global media company highlighted global tourist destinations that continue to remain understated in tourist circles.<\/p>\n

The article listed countries that aren\u2019t yet flooded by the tourists, which can diminish the lure for people who wish to undertake international travel. Moreover, the article also remarked that the country had the Wild Frontiers\u2019 and British Royal Couple\u2019s approval. The founder of Wild Frontiers Jonny Bealby recently referred to Pakistan as the ultimate adventure travel destination.<\/p>\n

Talking about the tourism opportunities in Pakistan, he said: \u2018It offers ancient Indus civilizations stretching back 4,000 years, and exciting cities like Lahore with its forts, mosques and palaces. But most of all, it offers incredible scenery, particularly in the north where the three greatest mountain ranges collide. Pakistan is great for trekking, mountain biking, rafting or just cultural tourism. The infrastructure has also improved, with resurfaced roads and new tunnels cutting down travel time, new luxury hotels are opening up in the region.\u2019<\/p>\n

Forbes magazine is not the first international travel authority that has given favourable review to Pakistan\u2019s tourism potential.
