Quetta: Chinese Consul General in Karachi Li Bijian on Tuesday inaugurated the first Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) terminal in Gwadar, according to a news report. The project<\/a>\u2019s inauguration ceremony took place following the arrival of a container carrying 3,900 metric tons of LPG from Muscat’s Sahar Port (Oman) to Gwadar.<\/p>\n

Other officials present at this ceremony included Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Chairman Naseer Kashani, Al-Qasim LPG Gas Terminal CEO Qasim Bashir, and China Port and Holding Company Chairman Bao Xing. This inauguration was lauded as a great step for the beginning of trade and economic activities in the city, and a good indicator for Balochistan\u2019s future development.<\/p>\n

Counsel Li addressed the attendees and stated that a new era of economic development had begun in Balochistan due to the commencement of international LPG trade here.<\/p>\n
