In a recent meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, the PMA officials proposed fixing the fares between PKR 40 and PKR 50 for customers who would avail the service following its operationalisation, along with increasing the ticket rates of the Lahore Metro and Speedo bus services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/security-arrangements-ordered-prior-olmt-launch.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Security arrangements ordered prior to OLMT launch<\/a><\/p>\n<p>CM Buzdar approved to keep the fare of OLMT services at PKR 40, but rejected the proposal for increasing fares for Lahore Metro and Speedo bus services. He said that the fares for the latter would remain at the current PKR 30.<\/p>\n<p>The CM has forwarded the recommendation for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/olmt-project-launch-expected-march-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OLMT <\/a>fare to the provincial cabinet for its approval.<\/p>\n<p>OLMT is a rapid transit system spanning over 27.1 kilometres \u2013 25.4 kilometres elevated and 1.72 kilometres underground.
