Lahore: The Standing Committee on Legislative Business recently approved the amendments to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Land Use Rules 2014 for the purpose of setting-up a power plant installation, a news source reported. The committee made this decision during its 18th<\/sup> meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Social Welfare Raja Basharat at the Civil Secretariat.<\/p>\n

In addition to the amendments made to the LDA Land Use Rules 2014, the meeting also approved modifications to the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1965 (aimed at regulating all app-based taxi services in Punjab), and the Service Rules of the Intelligence Cadre of the Special Branch of Police.<\/p>\n

The committee also gave its approval to the Excise Department for signing a service-level agreement in order to computerise the tax applicable on immovable property<\/a> in six districts of the province.<\/p>\n

Later, Basharat also visited the Data Darbar Shelter Home, where he met with many of its residents and heard about the various issues they were currently facing.
