The minster observed that the water line from Gulshan-e-Iqbal to Lyari was being substituted with a new above-the-ground line to solve the problem and keep illegal connections in check. The present gas pipelines in the area were developed during the tenure of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
