Lahore: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board\n(KPITB) created a smartphone app called \u2018The Safe Women\u2019, with added upgrades\nfor female commuters using the Pink Sakura Bus, according to a news report. This\napp will offer them security through a number of user-friendly features. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The upgrades enable women to share their live location with their chosen family members or friends while travelling. They can also send distress signals, call police emergency numbers, give safety ratings to various locations, and track their rides. Managing Director KPITB Dr Shahbaz Khan gave a demonstration of these features and explained their salient points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
