Lahore: The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has drafted a detailed strategy for identifying and setting up new tourist sites in the province, a news source reported. To this effect, Advisor to the Chief Minister (CM) on Tourism Asif Mehmood has stated that the aim of establishing new tourist locations<\/a> is to reduce the burden on the existing ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expressed his view on the matter during a meeting held on\nTuesday to review tourism promotion initiatives. National Tourism Coordination\nBoard (NTCB) Chairman Zulfikar Bukhari presided over the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NTCB chairman highlighted that Pakistan was declared to\nbe among the top 10 tourist destinations in the world this year. He added that\nit was now their responsibility to facilitate people visiting the country from\naround the globe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bukhari advised the authorities concerned to collectively work for towards creating a positive image of Pakistan. He also appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government and TDCP for promoting tourism in the province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, Mehmood stated that the TDCP had drafted the strategy as per the directives of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar.
