Lahore: The authorities concerned on Friday reviewed the amendments proposed to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA)\u2019s Private Housing Schemes Rules,<\/a> 2014, and the draft Land Use Rules 2020, according to news sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Punjab Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Social Welfare Raja Basharat presided over the meeting. Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, along with LDA representatives, were all present at the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the new amendments proposed by the LDA?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

According to the proposals, builders\/developers\nare required to seek LDA\u2019s approval prior to commencing with the launch of\ntheir residential schemes. Further, the master plan for the schemes should be\nexhibited to the general public prior to the launch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, LDA has prohibited the development of new schemes under the names that are already in LDA records. However, extensions\/phases can be added. Also, for each scheme, 7% of the area is required to be kept open. Plantation of the trees and construction of sidewall is also to be made mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
