Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has\nformed a committee to evaluate the 17 bids submitted by the companies that had expressed\ntheir interest in developing the \u2018Rawalpindi Master Plan 2020-2045\u2019, a news\nsource reported. The committee will decide which of these 17 companies will\nqualify to take part in the next bidding process via the issuance of request of\nproposal letter. The successful firms will then be asked to share their\ntechnical and financial bids on the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chosen firm will be assigned the task to make a 25-year\nmaster plan based on the city\u2019s needs in terms of utility services,\ninfrastructural developments, and related facilities in reference to the\nexpected population rise by 2045. Based on this master plan, all related\ndepartments will be required to form plans in accordance with the parameters\ndefined in the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another development, the RDA has invited expression of\ninterest (EOI) for identifying illegal constructions in its administered areas.\nAs per reports, the RDA has decided to outsource the task after its field staff\nfailed to identify all such structures due to lack of resources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
