The additional attorney\ngeneral told the bench that SSGC was aware of the principle mentioned in the\nconstitution. He added that this was why the company was supplying gas to the\nareas within proximity on a priority basis. However, he said, that it was not\npossible to supply gas to these areas within six months as the court has ordered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SC bench stated that the SSGC must adhere to its constitutional mandate. He\ntold the court that the Sindh High Court (SHC) had issued a contempt notice to SSGC\n\u2013 finding the company\u2019s assurances dissatisfactory. \n\nIn this regard, the apex court suspended the\nSHC\u2019s contempt notice.
