As per reports, the draft has been sent to Sindh Governor\nImran Ismael for approval. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sindh Ministry of Law has prepared the draft in accordance with Article 128 of the constitution. With approval from the governor, the relief ordinance will become effective from April 1 onwards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/citizens-donate-pkr-3-bn-sindhs-corona-emergency-relief-fund.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Citizens donate PKR 3 bn to Sindh\u2019s Corona Emergency Relief Fund (opens in a new tab)\">Citizens donate PKR 3 bn to Sindh\u2019s Corona Emergency Relief Fund<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the Sindh government Coronavirus Emergency Relief\nOrdinance, provision of the following relief measures is being pursued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relief in electricity\nbills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Waive electricity bills of up to 260 units<\/li><li>People who consumed 261 to 350 electricity units\nwill get 25% discount on bills<\/li><li>Electricity consumers who used 351 to 400 units\nwill get 50% concession on bills<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relief in gas bills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No bill for consumers using up to 155 units of\ngas<\/li><li>75% off on usage of up to 200 units<\/li><li>50% discount on bills for people using up to 300\nunits<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relief on water bills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No water bill for residents living in 80 sq yds\nand smaller houses<\/li><li>25% discount on water bill for residents living\nin 81 sq yds to 160 sq yd houses<\/li><li>Resident of houses falling in sizes of 161 sq yd\nand 240 sq yd will enjoy 50% discount on water bills<\/li><li>No water bills for residents of 800 sq ft\napartments<\/li><li>25% discount for residents of apartments\nspanning 1,000 sq ft<\/li><li>50% discount on water bills for residents of\napartments spanning 1,200 sq ft<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relief for tenants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rent amounting up to PKR 50,000 will be\nsuspended for a specific period of time. This amount will be cleared later once\nthe situation gets back to normal<\/li><li>Monthly rent ranging between PKR 50,000 to PKR\n100,000 will be slashed by half, for a specific duration. The slashed amount\nwill have to be cleared later<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relief on school fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Private schools cannot collect more than 80% of the due fees.
