Lahore: The Punjab government has reopened land record centres spread across the province today (April 23) \u2014 with the centres having been closed<\/a> for 29 days due to the lockdown imposed to stop the further spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, a news source reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has also issued an official notification. The notice states that the land record office will operate with minimum staff. In addition, the on-duty staff has received directions to strictly follow all safety measures to avoid catching or spreading the coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The notice further states that the PLRA SOPs will be diligently followed for issuance of fard <\/em>and property transfer documents at the land record centres across the province. In addition, people visiting the land record offices will be required to wear masks and maintain physical distance from other visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources within the record centres, all applicants will be required to submit an application 24 hours in advance for issuance of fard<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
