He stressed that inflation will be controlled by bringing down the prices of essential items under any circumstances. As per the government\u2019s notification, the price of petrol was slashed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/decrease-in-prices-of-petroleum-products-from-may.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PKR 15 per litre<\/a> and the price of high-speed diesel was slashed by PKR 27.15 per litre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the new rates of petrol and diesel are brought down to PKR 81.58 and PKR 80.10 per litre, respectively.
