Under this contract, which is worth over PKR 156 million, NESPAK will prepare the PC-1 and tender documents for the Murunj Dam project. WAPDA and NESPAK (on behalf of the joint venture) have signed an agreement for the consultancy project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authorities concerned will construct the dam across the Kaha Nullah, which falls 15 kilometres away from Mari Village and 116 kilometres away from Rajanpur, Punjab. Rajanpur and its adjoining areas have reported on scarce water resources for drinking and agriculture purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to details, the construction of the Murunj Dam has three main objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Flood mitigation<\/li><li>Storage of water for drinking and agriculture<\/li><li>Power generation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/funds-allocated-for-roads-dams-other-projects-in-attock.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Funds allocated for roads, dams, other development projects in Attock<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the project completes, it would help generate 12 megawatts (MWs) of cheap and environmental-friendly electricity.
