Lahore: The Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) has finalised its plan on prevention from urban flooding during this year\u2019s (2020) monsoon season, a news source reported. As per the plan, WASA will lay its primary focus on 26 store points \u2013 historically known for accumulating rainwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the plan, the authority will ensure smooth water flow from the disposal stations, dewatering low-laying pockets in several areas and making arrangements for regular monitoring of water accumulation situation in the city. Furthermore, WASA will also set up emergency camps, install its machinery at sensitive points and run awareness campaign to synthesize public on the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to WASA managing directors, the authority has set up emergency camps and installed dewatering machinery at following critical sites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  3. Eik Moria Pull<\/li>
  4. Bhatti Gate<\/li>
  5. Firdous Market<\/li>
  6. Kashmir Road<\/li>

  8. Do-Moria Pull<\/li>
  9. Lytton Road<\/li>
  10. Cooper Road<\/li>
  11. Chowk Na Khuda<\/li>
  12. Garden Town (Usman Block)<\/li>
  13. Lawrence Road<\/li>
  14. Model Town Link Road<\/li>
  15. Sultan Ahmed Road in Ichra<\/li>
  16. Tajpura (Block B)<\/li>
  17. Qainchi Stop\/General Hospital<\/li>
  18. Johar Town Tikka Chowk<\/li>
