The formal decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held yesterday (July 7) with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar in the chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/private-societies-invited-construct-interchanges-rrr.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Proposals invited from private societies for construction of interchanges on RRR<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier in March this year, the Punjab Government decided to hand over the RRR project to the Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA). For this purpose, the LRRA had set up a project management unit at the Commissioner\u2019s Office and asked the RDA to hand over all documents related to the RRR project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later in April, the Punjab government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rrr-project-handover-to-lrra-temporarily-suspended.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suspended<\/a> the LRRA from taking charge of the ring road project; stating that the decision was based on the amendments that were underway at that time in the LRRA Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rrr-lrr-sl-iii-projects-to-be-completed-under-ppp-model.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RRR, LRR SL-III, 6 other projects to be completed under PPP model during FY2020-21<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With RDA once again becoming the project\u2019s executive agency, it is expected that positive developments will take place with regard to the formation of RRR\u2019s PC-I.
