The power supply company had earlier received a bolus of 650MWs, but would now be reinforced with an additional 1,200MWs of electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/power-division-urged-ensure-uninterrupted-electricity-supply-karachi.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Power Division urged to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to Karachi<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on Finance &amp; Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh suggested preparing a comprehensive plan regarding the supply and demand of KE. He added that the same plan should be forwarded to the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE). On the other hand, he proposed that key players like KE, OGRA, and NEPRA, along with the Petroleum and Power divisions, should hold a meeting for resolving the shortfall of electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the next meeting of CCoE, the Power Division will present a report for the power outlook in Karachi for the rest of the summer. The report will cover aspects like KE\u2019s oil and gas requirements, weekly electricity projections, and expected shortfall.
