Therefore, he added, the markets were facing deterioration. He highlighted that the business community pays its taxes like property tax, conservancy charges, and water charges to the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). These funds should be used for the rehabilitation of the markets and industrial areas, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Waheed said that there was a need for repairing footpaths, roads, water and sewerage systems, and streetlights, along with providing public toilets and filtration plants, in the markets.
