The residents of Bajaur and Jandol in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/govt-launches-gas-supply-project-in-lower-dir.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lower Dir<\/a> were highly anticipating this bridge, due to its previous collapse in April 2016 due to flooding. They stated that heavy vehicles were not allowed on the existing temporary steel structure, which meant that there was extra traffic on the Timergara and Balambat Roads, creating issues for the city.
