To this effect, the Punjab government and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese construction company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/railway-track-part-leh-expressway-project-rda-chairman.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Railway track part of Leh Expressway project: RDA chairman<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Islamabad-Rawalpindi Circular Railway line would fall between the twin cities and the New Islamabad Airport. Based on Clean and Green initiative, the project would not use petrol or diesel, and run completely on electricity instead. The track would run beside the Leh Expressway and all the industrial units and localities would connect to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials stated that the services would be quite affordable and the route would be from Saddar to Pak Secretariat and end at the airport. He added that following the study\u2019s completion, they would forward the project to Working Group JCC \u2013 with possibility of inclusion in CPEC.
