Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has approved the hiring process for the newly-established Culture and Tourism Authority (CTA) \u2013 while also approving several other proposals aimed at boosting tourism in the province, according to a news source published on August 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the official handout, these decisions were approved in a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of the provincial CTA \u2013 chaired by the KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from approving the recruitment plan for the authority, the board also approved annual grant-in-aid 2020 for the authority and regulations for the scrutiny committee formed to absorb the employees of the provincial Tourism Corporation employees into the CTA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the hiring plan, 77 new employees will be hired in the initial phase, followed by 17 and 15 in the second and third phases, respectively. The government is aiming to complete the process by December, with the recruitment for top administrative positions is ordered to be made on deputation bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the meeting decided to revive \u2018Steam Engine Train Safari from Peshawar to Attock Khurd and from Peshawar to the famous archaeological site Takht Bhai\u2019. Also, a motorsports arena is to be set up in Nowshera district \u2013 which will also provide facilities like horse riding, boating, swimming, rafting, a shopping centre, family huts, hotels, and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
