Earlier this week, the Meteorological Department had issued a warning for heavy rains and expected urban flooding due to rising water levels in seasonal streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has prepared itself to deal with any situation following the rains. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hamza Shafqaat also stated that the city could experience heavy rainfall during next few days. He requested all hospitals in the Islamabad to remain on alert for emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The departments concerned have established flood control centres in three Union Councils (UCs). These include Bhara Kahu, Tarlai, and Sihala. It predicted heavy rainfall to occur in Narowal, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Lahore, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Okara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Met Office also stated that Haripur, Swabi, Abbottabad, Buner, Charsadda, and Peshawar would experience torrential rains starting from Wednesday, which could lead to flooding in these areas.
