The premier took the opportunity to state that the provincial and federal governments would jointly be contributing to the PKR 1.1 trillion package. He added that the project to transform the city would be implemented under the CM, through the Provincial Coordination Implementation Committee (PCIC).<br>Under this new package, the following issues facing the metropolis will be tackled at once<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The federal and provincial government will first tackle the issues pertaining to the city\u2019s water supply \u2014 with both working on the Greater Karachi Water Supply Scheme, also called the K-IV.<\/li><li>The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is already working on resolving the issues related to encroachments hindering the city\u2019s nullahs \u2014 with the Sindh government expected to resettle displaced individuals under this campaign.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/coas-assures-karachi-businessmen-industrialists-full-support.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COAS assures Karachi businessmen, industrialists of full support<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A proper mechanism is expected to be devised to solve the problems related to the city\u2019s sewerage system and solid waste disposal system.<\/li><li>The PM further announced that in order to resolve the city\u2019s transportation issues once and for all, the authorities concerned would start working on developing the Karachi Circular Railway (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/test-run-for-karachi-circular-railways-new-carriages-expected-soon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KCR<\/a>), roads for the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system, and other similar thoroughfares.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Additionally, during this visit to the city, the PM met with a delegation of traders and businessmen.
