The authority will commence with the process to acquire land for the said project during the said period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Punjab Government has already issued funds for the acquisition of the 64-kilometre-long circular road project. As revealed in our previous report, the regional jurisdiction of the RDA had been expanded with the inclusion of 10,000 kanals of land around the Islamabad International Airport in its domain. This particular area was recently declared to be an aerotropolis and will feature several high-end developments; including 5-star hotels, a convention centre and several high-rise buildings and commercial plazas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rrr-economic-zone-become-part-of-rawalpindi-city.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDA approves to make mouzas falling in RRR economic zone part of city area<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to another news report shared on Sep 20, the ring road will also feature low-cost residential units \u2013 to be developed under the government\u2019s Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP). For this purpose, around 6,500 acres of land will be allocated along the route. Last week, the RDA Governing Body also granted its approval for establishing its first housing project by the name of RDA City.
