Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmed Aziz Tarar has announced the civic agency\u2019s decision to draft a master plan for 49 urban settlements in Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Kasur, according to a news report published on October 8. The LDA<\/a> DG also revealed that a new master plan for Lahore will be prepared within the next 18 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The director general of the authority made these remarks while talking to the representatives of the three consultants shortlisted for the Lahore master plan preparation. This pre-qualifying consortium includes Dar Al-Hindsa (Lebanon), Mine Heart (Singapore) and National Engineering Services Pakistan \u2013 NESPAK (Pakistan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also stated that those tasked with the master plan preparation will be extended all required support and information. He added that the said master plan will be prepared while keeping in view the development requirements until 2050.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
