Rawalpindi: The Forest Department has initiated of setting up a National Park attraction at the 1,000 year-old Chinji Jungle located at the junction of Talagang and Chakwal in Rawalpindi Division, a news source reported on October 20. The National Park is being set up on 15,000 acres of land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a related development, archeologists have notified the discovery of the remains of prehistoric elephants and other ancient animal species at the Chinji Jungle. These findings will be displayed at a museum currently under construction in the park. According to details, Additional Secretary (Forest Department) Shahid Rasheed Awan is supervising the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
