These notices were served through the e-filing system IRIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the FBR data, over 300,000 taxpayers had sought extension in the filing date and these people were given a grace period of 15 days to file their returns and avoid penalty of PKR 40,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-launch-dnfbps-web-portal-realtors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FBR to launch DNFBPs web portal for realtors, other professionals<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FBR spokesperson Nadeem Rizvi stated that non-filers were required to submit an extension application within the due date to get more time.
