Moreover, remittances during December 2020 were seen to increase by 16.2% year-on-year to reach USD 2.436 billion, as against USD 2.097 billion recorded in December 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/roshan-digital-accounts-remittances-cross-usd-200mn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Remittances sent through Roshan Digital Accounts cross USD 200mn: PM Khan<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan tweeted that the total remittance figure for six months of this fiscal year stood at USD 14.2 billion; registering a 24.9% growth as compared to the last year when the remittances stood at USD 11.372 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twenty six percent of the total remittance figures were reported from Saudi Arabia, with the overseas Pakistanis residing in the kingdom remitting USD 624.8 million.
