Islamabad: Top Swedish investors have announced their decision to invest in the China<\/a>-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project as well as Special Economic Zones (SEZs) being developed under the economic corridor\u2019s framework, a news source reported on January 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The understanding was reached during a meeting held between a delegation of Swedish dignitaries, including Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan Henrik Persson, and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FPCCI Chairman Qurban Ali, Coordinator Capital House Mirza Abdur Reham, FPCCI former vice president Muhammad Ali Quaid, Hunza CCI President Mehboob Rabani, ICSTSI President Malik Zaheer, and CCI Mandi Bahauddin President Haider Raza Naqvi were all present on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the attendees, FPCCI chief Qurban Ali emphasized the need to increase economic and trade relations and business-to-business connectivity between Pakistan and Sweden. Moreover, he apprised the delegation regarding investment opportunities in hydel power, tourism, mineral mines, transport and housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
