Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday launched a Spring Tree Plantation drive by inaugurating Islamabad<\/a>\u2019s first-ever Miyawaki forest reserve at Shakarparian hills, according to news sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that forestation is a \u2018lifesaver for future of Pakistan\u2019 and that the government is developing green areas to mitigate the effects of climate change. He further stated Pakistan is ranked among top 10 countries vulnerable to climate change. He also expressed concern over the deteriorating conditions of climate in metropolises like Lahore and Peshawar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, 20 sites in Islamabad have been selected to be developed on Miyawaki method \u2013 which is also called Potted Seedling Method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
