In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Information Technology on Thursday (May 20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the details, the software technology park in Faisalabad will be set up at Sitara Chemical\u2019s Ali Fatima College of Science &amp; Technology on an area of 19,500 sq. ft. The software technology park in Rawalpindi will be created at Amazon Outlet Mall on an area of 44,000 sq. ft to meet the demand of the technology sector in the twin cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/govt-working-special-technology-zones-facilitate-foreign-investors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Govt working on special technology zones to facilitate foreign investors<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government encourages the IT sector\u2019s growth through incentives to focus on improving Pakistan\u2019s economy, quality of life, and to create more jobs, stated IT &amp; Telecom Secretary Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from this, plenty of other projects are being set up that will assist and facilitate the IT sector to grow and lift the export and local earnings, said Siddiqui. In his speech, the secretary appreciated the efforts of entrepreneurs and IT professionals for making Pakistan the largest net exporter in the IT services industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, he added that there is a need for close collaboration of the public sector and IT industry for the growth of the sector. According to Pakistan Software Export Board Managing Director Osman Nasir, software technology parks are being established with the partnership of the public-private sector.
