{"id":76560,"date":"2021-06-03T15:27:09","date_gmt":"2021-06-03T10:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/?p=76560"},"modified":"2021-06-03T16:08:29","modified_gmt":"2021-06-03T11:08:29","slug":"cda-board-approves-budget-for-fy-2021-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-board-approves-budget-for-fy-2021-22.html","title":{"rendered":"CDA Board approves budget for FY 2021-22"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Wednesday has approved a PKR 156.35 billion budget for non-development and development expenditure of the authority in the upcoming next fiscal year (2021-22), according to news reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-approves-design-plans-for-two-parking-plazas-in-blue-area.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDA approves design plans for two parking plazas in Blue Area<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This fiscal year, a budget surplus of PKR 73.9 million is allocated, since the approved budget is PKR156 million against PKR 82 million in expenditures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed presided over the meeting, which was attended by board members including Member Finance Shakeel Jazeb, Member Administration Amir Abbas Khan, Member Architect Nayyar Ali Dada, Member Engineering Munawar Shah, Member Planning Naveed Elahi, architect Ali Asghar, Dr Muhammad Ali, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, and Iftikhar Arif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Member Finance Shakeel Jazeb presented the budget in which PKR 40 billion was allocated for development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The details for the development projects are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PKR 2 billion allocated for the construction of low-cost houses in Farash Town<\/li><li>PKR 60 million set aside for Rawal Chowk Signal Free Corridor<\/li><li>PKR 10 million to be used for Margalla Avenue&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>PKR 5 billion is allocated for renovation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pha-rawalpindi-working-on-beautification-of-highways.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beautification projects<\/a> including street lights, parks, water supply, and sanitation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/budget-approved-for-cash-assistance-of-4mn-families.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Supplementary budget approved for cash assistance of additional 4 mn families<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the CDA has authorised a number of additional development projects, the most notable of which are the PWD underpass, 7th Avenue, 10th Avenue, IJ Principal Road, a women&#8217;s club, and a new slaughterhouse. In addition, the Corona Allowance for officers and staff from Grade 1 to Grade 19 has been granted for the next five months.
