The PMCHS president told the members of\u00a0the\u00a0society that about 300 kanals of\u00a0Avicenna\u00a0City\u2019s land was being affected\u00a0because of\u00a0the\u00a0unclear\u00a0status of the\u00a0Lahore\u00a0Ring Road. While disproving rumours, he told the members that the Ring Road Authority did not intend to change its plan regarding the\u00a0road\u2019s\u00a0development.<\/p>\n<p>The president\u00a0told\u00a0the members about\u00a0possible\u00a0merger proceedings\u00a0with\u00a0Bahria\u00a0Town, which lies close to Avicenna City. He also said\u00a0PMCHS had conveyed its stance to\u00a0Bahria\u00a0Town and\u00a0plot owners of\u00a0Avicenna City would not be offered adjustment plots at other locations.<\/p>\n<p>In my view, if the merger\u00a0does end up taking place, landowners in\u00a0Avicenna\u00a0City\u00a0are likely to witness a sizeable increase in their plots\u2019\u00a0values. On the other hand, Bahria Town will get extra land to expand further. Simply put, the merger would be a win-win for both communities.<\/p>\n<p>The merger has not happened yet, but\u00a0as we have seen in the past,\u00a0property prices tend to respond to such news.
