Gujranwala: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gujranwala Muhammad Sohail Khawaja has directed the Land Record and Revenue Department to stop issuing land mutations and ownership transfer of plots in 33 specified unapproved schemes, news Sources Reported. Read: Notices served to 289 illegal housing schemes in Gujranwala Division The decision was taken at the request of the Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA) citing the illegal allotment of plots without the no-objection certificate from the concerned authorities. The decision has blocked the process of transfer of land and plots in 33 unapproved societies and 256 sub-land divisions. A list of said housing projects and sub-land divisions has been forwarded to DC’s office for the imposition of a complete ban.
