{"id":76977,"date":"2021-06-15T10:15:08","date_gmt":"2021-06-15T05:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/?p=76977"},"modified":"2021-06-15T11:57:16","modified_gmt":"2021-06-15T06:57:16","slug":"pkr-900bn-announced-psdp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pkr-900bn-announced-psdp.html","title":{"rendered":"Budget 2021-22: PKR 900 billion announced for PSDP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Islamabad: The government on Friday announced a 38 % rise, amounting to about PKR 900 billion, in the Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the financial year 2021-22, according to media sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/separate-psdp-2021-2022-cards-southern-punjab.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Separate PSDP 2021-2022 on cards for Southern Punjab<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, The National Development Programme, which includes PSDP and the provinces&#8217; development contribution, has been granted PKR 2,135 billion, which is a 33% increase over the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the details for the PKR 900 billion uplift projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PKR 265 billion is set aside for transport and communications<\/li><li>PKR 103 billion is allocated for energy<\/li><li>PKR 99 billion will be used for water resources<\/li><li>PKR 40.93 billion to be spent on housing and physical planning<\/li><li>PKR 28 billion has been allocated for health<\/li><li>PKR 5.12 billion is set aside for education and training<\/li><li>PKR 37 billion to be used for Higher Education Commission<\/li><li>PKR 15.26 billion will be used for the environment<\/li><li>PKR 15.13 billion to be spent for manpower and employment<\/li><li>PKR 74 billion will be spent for Sustainable Development Goals<\/li><li>PKR 54 billion to be used for merged districts<\/li><li>PKR 45 billion is set aside for special areas including Gilgit-Baltistan and Jammu and Kashmir<\/li><li>PKR 34 billion has been allocated for less developed areas (North and South Balochistan Packages, Sindh Development Plan, and Gilgit-Baltistan Development Plan)<\/li><li>PKR 5.7 billion to be used for governance<\/li><li>PKR 29.3 billion to be spent on science and information technology<\/li><li>PKR 15.5 billion allocated for the production sector (food, industries, and agriculture)<\/li><li>PKR 37.4 billion to be used for other requirements<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/planning-ministry-prioritizing-inclusion-cpec-projects-psdp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Planning ministry for prioritizing inclusion of CPEC projects in PSDP 2021-22<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin said during his budget address that the government will pay special attention to the Diamar-Bhasha, Mohmand, and Dasu <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/psdp-funds-hydropower-water.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dams<\/a> that are still under construction.
