{"id":77277,"date":"2021-06-23T15:50:52","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T10:50:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/?p=77277"},"modified":"2021-06-23T15:50:57","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T10:50:57","slug":"rda-budget-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rda-budget-revealed.html","title":{"rendered":"RDA Budget 2021-22 revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Islamabad: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Tuesday revealed its budget with an outlay of PKR 2,379 million for the financial year 2021-22, according to news sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rda-completed-dualisation-of-dr-qadeer-khan-road.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDA completed dualisation of Dr Qadeer Khan Road<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the chairmanship of RDA Director General (DG) Nadeem Abro, a meeting was held with the Finance Sub-Committee, which included the Finance, Planning &amp; Development (P&amp;D), Housing Urban Development (HUD), and Public Health Engineering (PHE) Departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RDA Director Finance &amp; Administration Asif Mahmood Janjua, RDA Deputy Director Finance Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti, and officials from the HUD &amp; PHE, P&amp;D, and Finance departments attended the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, a large portion of the RDA budget, worth PKR 1,984 million, was set aside for new and ongoing development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The ongoing schemes included:<\/li><li>PKR 50 million was reserved for widening and improvement of Dry Port Road from Rahimabad Flyover at Airport Road to Welfare Complex via Chakala Railway Station and Shell Depot.<\/li><li>PKR 69 million will be used for the construction of three pedestrian bridges at Airport Road.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other development projects mentioned in the budget are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PKR 300 million has been set aside for the rehabilitation of Kutchery Chowk.<\/li><li>PKR 300 million is set aside for remodelling of Defence Chowk.<\/li><li>PKR 20 million will be used for creating a Project Management Unit (PMU) for the construction of the Lai Expressway. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/mayawaki-forests-rawalpindi.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDA plans Miyawaki forests in Rawalpindi to curb pollution<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds have been provided for land acquisition for the building of the Lai Expressway and flood channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pc-i-submitted-for-urban-regeneration-for-leh-expressway.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">projects<\/a> under the new development scheme of the Annual Development Programme (ADP).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Tuesday revealed its budget with an outlay of PKR 2,379 million for the financial year 2021-22, according to news sources.
