Karachi: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Tuesday announced that the 24-km long Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project will become operational <\/a>by the end of August or the start of September, according to media reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a meeting with Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leader Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, the Sindh governor announced that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will inaugurate the Green Line BRT project in August. Imran Ismail told the media that new development projects will be launched to improve the living standard of people in Badin and surrounding districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, building on the Green Line BRT project’s Phase-I began in 2016. The proposed path is 24 km, including 12.7 km elevated and 10.9 km at grade. The Green Line BRT will be 422 metres underground and will have 25 stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
