Some details of the budget spending are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PKR 35.702 billion has been allocated special programmes<\/li><li>PKR 28.304 billion has been allocated for the specialised healthcare and medical education projects<\/li><li>PKR 22.52 billion for the construction of roads<\/li><li>PKR 15.362 billion has been allocated for schools and education expenses<\/li><li>PKR 14.083 billion has been set aside for the planning and development<\/li><li>PKR 11.086 billion has been earmarked for the agriculture sector<\/li><li>Higher education will get PKR 4.866 billion<\/li><li>PKR 7.361 billion for the local government and community development programme<\/li><li>PKR 7.901 billion for the irrigation development<\/li><li>PKR 3.967 billion for the urban development programme<\/li><li>PKR 1.127 billion for the Forest development<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/high-speed-internet-south-punjab.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Funds awarded for South Punjab to have access to high-speed internet<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PKR 4.886 billion for the water supply and sanitation services<\/li><li>PKR 1.015 billion has been set aside for literacy and non-formal basic education<\/li><li>PKR 1.806 billion has been allocated to the sports and youth affairs sector<\/li><li>Primary and secondary healthcare will get PKR 5.886 billion<\/li><li>PKR 664 billion has been allocated for the population welfare<\/li><li>PKR 157 million for the specialised Education sector<\/li><li>PKR 349 million for the social welfare<\/li><li>PKR 49 million for the women development sector<\/li><li>Wildlife will get PKR 213 million<\/li><li>Fisheries related programmes will get PKR 274 million<\/li><li>Food-related sector will get PKR 236 million<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, the chairman P&amp;D Abdullah Sumbal has said that the budget for South Punjab has been separated from the rest of the province to address the problems of the area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore: The Punjab government has released the \u2018record high\u2019 budget allocation of PKR 189.228 billion for the 37 development projects in South Punjab for the fiscal year 2021-22, news sources reported.
