He urged scientists and university students to create ideas to combat environmental challenges and enhance the country&#8217;s socio-economic condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While speaking at the seminar, UNESCO Country Director Patricia McPhillips informed the participants that plastic pollution is the most serious threat to the environment and human health and that it requires a global effort to reduce its effect. She went on to say that global plastic manufacturing and use is rising at an alarming rate.
