Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) continue anti-encroachment drive against illegal constructed<\/a> infrastructure in Margalla Hills, according to news reports shared on August 16. The directives in this regard were issued by CDA Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed who is also the chief commissioner of the capital city.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The anti-encroachment drive has been underway for the last three days, the authorities demolished a number of unlawfully built structures in Gokina and Talhar areas of Margalla Hills. These include several quarters and boundary walls, according to a CDA official who monitored the anti-encroachment operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drive is part of the CDA’s continuous anti-encroachment campaign to prevent illegal encroachment on Margalla Hills and against the land grabbers that are using the protected land for commercial activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to CDA officials, moving the heavy machinery in the hilly terrain of the Margalla Hills was difficult but the operation was conducted successfully.
