Islamabad:  Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill stated that construction on the 306-kilometre, 6-lane Hyderabad-Sukkur (M-6) highway will begin soon, according to news sources. Reportedly, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) <\/a>has previously approved the project\u2019s revised Project Concept-1 (PC) at a cost of PKR 191.471 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the SAPM, the project will be built on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis. In this regard, a tender for the multibillion-dollar project will be floated in October 2021. The work on the project is expected to start next year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project’s initial cost was estimated to be PKR 175 billion. However, the project was postponed.
