In the first phase, the Green Line BRT will cover Surjani Town to Gurumandir and Numaish Chowrangi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/karachi-green-line-brt-project.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PM to inaugurate Karachi\u2019s Green Line BRT Project next month<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing details about the Green Line BRT buses, Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) CEO Nadeem Lodhi stated that the buses are low-entry 18-metre Articulated Diesel-Hybrid self-charging technology, which is eco-friendly. All the buses are equipped with Modern Intelligent Transport System (ITS) with features such as real-time passenger information, auto doors, surveillance cameras, and an automatic location system. Additionally, the fleet includes air-conditioning, space for advertisement, digital screens, and comfortable modular seats. It will cater to people with special needs and will benefit the environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The governor disclosed that the second consignment of 40 buses is expected to reach the city next month. It was highlighted that the first phase of the project will be operationalised by the end of November this year. The governor appreciated the efforts of Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) to make sure the project will be completed within a stipulated time.\u00a0 According to Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Green Line BRT is a technologically advanced transport system that encompasses a 22km corridor that will improve mobility for 135,000 passengers on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/green-line-brt-to-be-in-operation-by-august-asad-umar.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Line BRT to be in operation by August: Asad Umar<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He went on to say that a comprehensive command and control centre had been created for various transport projects including Orange Line, Green Line, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/yellow-line-brt-implementation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yellow Line<\/a>, and others. It was mentioned that a bus depot was developed for 80 buses and 22 bus stations were constructed.\u00a0 Moreover, the minister informed that the commercial operations of the buses will start within the next two months after training of drivers and installation of software. The stations and tracks have already been completed.
