Islamabad: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Wednesday (September 29) that the National Logistics Cell (NLC) has started construction on the Islamabad\/Inter Junction Principal Road (IJP) road, according to news sources. Minister Khan revealed this information in a Senate meeting and stated that the project worth PKR 4.9 billion will take 18 months to be completed. According to the planned design, there will be two bridges and two flyovers on IJP Road to decrease traffic congestion, flyovers on 9th Avenue and IJP Road, and two bridges at Kattarian and Pirwadhai to keep traffic flowing smoothly in the capital. \u00a0 The minister also said that the last repair work on the main IJP road was carried out in 2016-17 and is presently in a neglected state.
