SBP has reported that overseas Pakistanis have maintained a \u2018strong momentum\u2019 by exceeding USD 2 billion in deposits since June 2020. Reportedly, overseas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/remittance-over-usd-2-bn-13th-month.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"77898\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pakistanis sent USD 29.4 billion during the last fiscal year<\/a> ending in June while the inflow is expected to surpass this year based on the current momentum.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rda-crosses-usd-2bn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Remittance inflow via Roshan Digital Accounts crosses USD 2 bn mark: SPB<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the breakdown of the remittances received, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/highest-remittance-fy21.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"75333\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">highest greenbacks were sent from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia<\/a> (KSA) reaching up to USD 2.025 billion which is 2.6% less than the same period last year. In September alone, expatriates sent USD 691 million back home from KSA.&nbsp; The second highest remittance was received from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with an 8.7% increase reaching USD 1.545 billion. The inflows from UK and USA noted a growth of 13.2% and 32% amounting to USD 1.115 billion and USD 836 million respectively.
