By October 12, the number of filers rose to 2.213 million with deposits of PKR 41.895 billion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is pertinent to mention that the last date to file income tax returns for both new and old taxpayers was September 30; however, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-15-day-extension-income-tax-returns.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">extension was offered for taxpayers<\/a> because of the technical delays on the last date. It was mentioned that for the first time ever more than 1.8 million returns were filed within 90 days (till September 30).
