Karachi: Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab on Thursday (October 21) said that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC<\/a>) will rehabilitate people affected by the ongoing anti-encroachment drive, news sources reported. He stated that Sindh government has already identified land in various sections of the city for this purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the \u2018Competitive and Livable City of Karachi (CLICK)\u2019 conference, the administrator stated that the government is devising strategies to prevent encroachers from reoccupying the vacated land in the future. He stated that the government’s priority is the rehabilitation of the affected people, and the World Bank (WB) is assisting in the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Administrator Wahab stated that WB will give funding for a variety of additional development projects, such as road construction, flyover expansion and joint repair, and the construction of a fish house in Clifton, among others.
