The official map will also be used for the identification of state land and mapping the plot numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/provinces-finish-cadastral-mapping.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PM directs provinces to finish cadastral mapping to rid of illegal occupation<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the report, it was decided that the system of \u2018<em>Khasra number<\/em>\u2019 of the plots will be abolished and every plot will be given a specific number based on its type.\u00a0 In the first phase, the process will be started for Lahore where the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lahore-digital-map-set-to-complete-by-next-month.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"79563\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cadastral map has already been prepared<\/a> and the system will be updated soon.
