The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) will execute the project. The committee, during the meeting, ordered the authorities concerned to get the approval of the Planning Commission and include axle load management in the project.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, the meeting also approved the revised project of construction of Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis, at the total cost of PKR 191.471 billion. According to the details, the 306-kilometre six-lane fenced motorway project will be implemented by the National Highway Authority (NHA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/ecnec-approves-projects.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ECNEC approves Sialkot-Kharian Motorway, satellite project<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reportedly, the project will be included in the next federal budget and is expected to be completed in 30 months. It will be executed on the BOT user-charge basis with the federal government providing a slightly higher financial contribution through capital and operational viability gap fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, ECNEC give a nod to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/section-4-leh-expressways-land-acquisition.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">land acquisition for Leh Expressway<\/a> &amp; Flood Channel, at the total cost of PKR 24.961 billion. The committee mentioned that no expenditure can be incurred until the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report is completed and approval is acquired from Public-Private Partnership (PPP) board.
