Lahore: The Board of Revenue (BoR)\u2019s plan to complete Lahore\u2019s cadastral map by the end of December 2021 has been delayed for another six months, news sources reported. The new deadline for completion has been set for June 2022. Read: Cadastral map of Lahore to be ready by end of December Reportedly, the BoR has previously said that the reconciliation of urban properties of the city will be completed by December, but the deadline could not be met due to the \u2018snail-pace surveys\u2019 and the delays in identification of the land under the encroachers. It was highlighted that the large chunks of state land are still in possession of land grabbers and they can only be retrieved through inch-by-inch measurement of urban land parcels. To date, BoR has announced the retrieval of 1,870,000 acres of rural land across Punjab.\u00a0Pertaining to this latest development, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Babar Hayat Tarar said that the aerial survey of the city has been conducted with the help of the Pakistan Army while the actual demarcation and the metes-and-bounds of the city will be available for the citizens once on ground surveys are complete.
